This short, self-paced program was created by me for my clients to build the practical foundation you need before doing deeper trauma work. This short course will allow you to start therapy (or get more out of your current therapy) with a solid foundation on how the nervous system works, the fight/flight system, and how to use the right tools to help you with emotional grounding and self-regulation. Anyone who’s starting therapy, returning to therapy, or wants to learn real, science-backed ways to regulate their nervous system is welcome and encouraged to take it. Trauma doesn’t just live in memories, it lives in the body. When our nervous system feels unsafe, we either speed up into fight/flight or shut down into freeze. That makes it hard to think clearly, learn new skills, or feel steady in sessions. So before we tackle difficult memories, we give the body safety and teach it how to find safety again. Think of this course as the foundation: robust, simple, and practical. When your foundation is solid, therapy is safer and more effective.
