About Stephanie

My name is Stephanie Underwood — a Registered Social Worker, MSW Candidate at the University of Calgary, and founder of Healing Narratives Counselling. I provide virtual, trauma-informed counselling to adults in Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta, specializing in relational trauma, early maladaptive schemas, and attachment-based therapy.

I believe people are not broken - they are adapted. Every relational pattern that looks like dysfunction from the outside makes complete sense when you understand where it came from. My work is about getting to that root: understanding the schemas formed in early relational environments, recognizing how they drive present-day patterns, and creating the kind of consistent, safe therapeutic relationship that gives the nervous system something new to learn from.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation to all new clients in Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta. If you're ready to stop managing and start healing, I'd be glad to connect.
